New GAN Published
The Golden Acorn News for the fourth quarter of 2025 has been published and is accessible in the Members Area.
This issue is dedicated to our 87th Division veterans who were taken Prisoners of War and their stories of survival outside of combat. This issue will begin a series of articles on POWs in future Golden Acorn News editions. We start with the tribulations of Lt. Woodrow Lennon (B-347), who was captured on Hill 360 in Obergailbach 81 years ago this month.
It is fitting that we would also begin our effort to support the erection of a monument to the 87th Infantry Division at Hill 360. As this is the campaign that began the 87th’s combat, it is hard to believe there is no monument to honor our veterans effort and sacrifice on and around Hill 360.
